[boston-pig] April boston-pig meeting, thursday the 5th @ 7pm

Just a note on the date. Normally the boston pig meetup would be the second thursday of every month, but next week is april vacation.
The May meetup will be May 10th and will also be an informal meeting at Trident Booksellers. Sally Klienfeldt from the Nature Conservatory usually holds every other month for formal presentations. Due to scheduling conflicts we will resume those on June 14th. 

There are a number of python related conferences this summer, both in the US and abroad (4 in the UK alone). With luck there will be people interested in giving presentations.

That was a fast month.
It's that time again for a boston-pig gathering.
Thursday April 5th, 7pm at the Trident Booksellers on Newbury Street.

This will be an informal meetup, but I will be bringing information on a number of projects which are looking for volunteers to help them out.
The biggest one is the One Laptop Per Child project (http://laptop.org/), and it's boston based.

Will Guaraldi has offered to pay for a years subscription at Meetup.com, which is quite the offer.
I am trying to get a corporate sponsor for the group so we don't have to impose on the generosity of members.
