[boston-pig] introductory python class

At the last meetup, there was some enthusiasm for having a session dedicated
to introductory Python programming. I think that given our community, this
is more than do-able. But in order to prepare something, I think it would
behoove us to figure out what we're trying to accomplish.
* Is this a course for people who have never programmed, or for people who
are just new to Python programming. (How new?)
* Should we try to get past defining functions and into class definitions
and usage?
* Are there particular areas of interest (database manipulation, web
programming) that we should cover?
What I'd like to see is the kind of thing where everyone brings their
laptops (or is willing to share), and we just get into it. I can see a
(very) few presentation slides, but most of the time should be spent
interactively.
Please post responses/thoughts to the mailing list.
