Local lists are all very low traffic (I'm subscribed to a few that I have
friends on, this one for geographic reasons) because they only talk about
local stuff. Python talk that applies to everyone happens on the wider
lists like comp.lang.python
That said if you ask a general python question on comp.lang.python and
it gets ignored feel free to ask it here. Before you do that though do
check the FAQ - there is a good chance the question asked was so common
everyone just let is pass.

This _is_ the kind of local thing you will find on the boston-pig list.
